Bald

Naree Sallu

Girl, it is okay.

So now you are bald. Now you want a magic potion to grow your back. You are now limited to wearing wigs and hats. You are scared and feel alone. It affects your self-esteem. You can’t even get braids. What can you do?

Deal with it, embrace it, and recognize the issue. It could be worse, you could be homeless, loveless, sick, and hurting. Seek medical advice and treatment from a dermatologist, not the ShadeRoom or TikTok. A dermatologist can diagnose and treat your scalp issues. They can test you for underlying health issues. Take into account your lifestyle. Did you know medications can affect your hair? Did you know poor blood circulation can cause hair loss? Did you know diet can also affect your hair?

Get real with what you are willing to do, not with what a hairstylist can do. It’s like going to a trainer once a week, and then going home and eating ice cream, fries, pop, and greasy burgers. You are not going to see any results. Make a plan and find a hairstylist who is willing to be a part of your hair journey. Most importantly be realistic about your situation and deal with it. You are not alone. Embrace it and let your inner beauty outshine your outer beauty. Recognize it is not your fault and you are more than your hair. Yassssssssss Honey!!!!!!!
